Nothing is like the first week of school. The whole school year basically becomes a big question mark. In my AP LIT class that is a GIANT question mark. Will I hold up? Can I slay the dragon? So far in the first week I’ve learned how to make and edit a weebly site that seems to be a large success tool in this class. Setting up a blog was easier than I thought. Next we have learned why it is important to read, and we have selected books and done our reader scores, and also discussed how to use Kittle's reading ladder. I am extremely excited for the author study, it will be interesting to look at the different styles that each author uses on their work. All these activities are going to improve my interest in reading. Also we jumped right into poetry. Every day we listen and learn about a new poem. This to me is extremely interesting and I believe it is an awesome way to start off a class. We have also go into and thought deeper about a poem then I ever have with any writing piece. Also I have learned many useful tips for creative writing, something I’ve been doing for a longtime. Lastly I have learned already in this week that this class I a judgement free zone, and my classmates and teachers are going to criticize my work in order to benefit my progress the class seems like a handful but promising. I believe by going through with this class I will gain very importance confidence and knowledge for my future in academics.
